Since 1998, I have demonstrated success testing desktop, web and mobile applications on multiple platforms. I have extensive management training. I’m experienced managing people and processes in a waterfall or agile development environments. I have 15 years of testing experience , 10 of those years managing the testing process, and 7 of those years managing people and test teams. In the last 5 years I have had experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements for development and testing.

I’m always recognized by employers and colleagues as a valuable team member and technical resource. I have excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills. I have a very high commitment to my work, a strong work ethic, and a track record of following through. I’m a quick study and always willing to assume increased responsibilities. I have effective written and verbal communication skills. I’m highly collaborative with experienced presenting and reporting to senior management.

SOFTWARE TEST MANAGER, MERACORD (Aug 2005 to Feb 2013)
Responsibilities

  • Actively maintains knowledge of current industry best practices
  • Researches methodologies and software to develop ways to introduce new software testing technologies to benefit the business
  • Coordinates testing efforts across all projects that require testing
  • Proactively monitors the software testing environment to ensure compatibility and continued reliable operation of the automated and manual testing
  • Oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of manual and automated quality assurance testing methodologies and systems to ensure accuracy and stability of software applications.
  • Initiates software test plans to meet product requirements for new software functionality and incorporates necessary regression testing based on requirements and specifications provided by customer and development staff

Other non development projects:

  • Documentation and procedures process for a required audit process and was used in our SOC1 compliance. This included proof of testing, release notes, release approval, training, and company communication.
  • Implemented Agile development methodology. Its been in practice for 2+ years. It led to more than 50 release of software in 2011 and 2012.

Accomplishments
  • I created a VB.NET application to mimic the behavior being exhibited by one of the Microsoft applications to prove that some perceived bad behavior could be reproduced. When the prescribed method of implementation failed to reproduce the questionable behavior that Microsoft applications were enjoying I researched further to discover additional settings that were not documented that would give the 3rd party application the same advantages. These appeared to be violations and were reported.
  • Successfully tested and had findings with the middleware applications for the Microsoft antitrust violations lawsuit.
  • I succeeded where many employees had struggled to be successful in gaining the material and research evidence that the position required.
  • I devised methods to methodically test to find patterns of differences and questionable behaviors concerning Microsofts and the middleware applications.
  • I was given compliments and recognition by my manager for being successful where many others had not been.
